Annual Blessing Of the Animals In Long Beach

The 8th Annual Interfaith Blessing of the Animals in Long Beach is being presented by Haute Dogs, and will take place this Saturday (tomorrow), October 3, 2009 at Marine Stadium at noon (sorry for the short notice, just found out about it myself). Traditionally the blessing is a Catholic celebration,  but has expanded to include many spiritual backgrounds. So if you'd like to include your pup in your spiritual practices,  head on over, and bring your other animals too! There will be other events going on starting at 10 a.m. as well:

• 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Pet Adoptions & Vendor Fair
• 11 a.m. - Ugly Dog & Cute Dog Contest
• 12 p.m. - Blessing
• 1 p.m. - Chihuahua Beauty Contest
